We recognize that there are many different techniques used today in chiropractic, therefore, we'd like you to know about the methods we use and why we use them as opposed to others you may be familiar with. Spinal Exercises: 50% of Your Results In addition to the above methods we also utilize some aspects of other chiropractic techniques that we believe improve our results including exercises and some adjustments from the Chiropractic Biophysics Technique and Pettibon Technique. The most important aspects of these two techniques we use are exercises to help recondition the spinal ligaments and muscles into holding the spine in the normal alignment. In as many as 50% of the patients we see, improved spinal alignment will occur with repetitive chiropractic adjustments over time. However, the other 50% will require consistently applied spinal rehabilitation exercises to stretch and strenghten the spinal ligaments and muscles. Without these specific exercises, some spines will not change, ever. Therefore, we recommend that most of our patients, with few exceptions, perform daily spinal exercises to achieve normal spinal alignment and balance. Ongoing Research and Developments We continue to research and study chiropractic techniques in order to provide the best service possible to our patients. On days when the doctor is not in the office, he is often spending time researching different chiropractic methods through reading, visiting other chiropractic offices and attending seminars. Dr, Bongiovi also spends time researching other natural healing therapies such as nutrition, juicing, fasting, meditation and exercise. We are convinced that our current methods, techniques and procedures are some of the best the chiropractic profession has to offer and they are always improving. Dr. Bongiovi practices according to the golden rule: Do unto others as I would want others to do unto me. What can I expect on a routine visit?
